The meeting was jointly organized by the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce and AmCham China. More than 80 representatives from Citibank, United Family Healthcare, Herbalife China, Edelman, JPMorgan Chase, and other companies attended the meeting. At the meeting, representatives of Hainan’s government departments and industrial parks gave an introduction to the core policies and investment opportunities of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the development of the financial industry, and the development of the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone (Boao Hope City).
AmCham China has been paying close attention to the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, and regards Hainan as a preferred investment choice for member companies. In 2019 and 2021, they visited Hainan several times for research and project procurement.
In recent years, many US-funded enterprises have been established in Hainan in finance, medical care, trade, biotechnology, and other areas, including SOSV (Sanya) Equity Investment, United Family Healthcare, Viatris, and Dun&Bradstreet.
